Established in 2020 by two Registered Expressive Arts Therapists (AThR), TRYANGLE seeks to bring diverse arts expression and psychotherapy services into the community, helping people better value their own and others’ emotional well-being. TRYANGLE represents the close relationship among the service user, therapist, and artistic creation. Through various art media, expressive arts therapists guide participants in a safe, shared creative space for emotional expression and healing.
TRYANGLE combines “TRY” and “ANGLE”. We believe that by trying different artistic media and viewing from new angles, service users can discover their inner resources and needs, fostering holistic growth in mind, body, and spirit.

Both therapists hold a Master’s degree in Expressive Arts Therapy from the University of Hong Kong and are registered as Creative Arts (Expressive Arts) Therapists (AThR) by the Australian, New Zealand and Asian Creative Arts Therapies Association (ANZACATA). This registration confirms that they have graduated from approved programs, completed at least 750 hours of supervised clinical placement, achieved a high academic standard, and adhere to the Association’s professional code of ethics.

In 2016, the Department of Health launched the mental health campaign “Good Mood@HK” to encourage the public to care more about mental health. “Shall We Talk” is a mental health promotion and public education programme initiated by the Advisory Committee on Mental Health since July 2020.
As part of the programme’s【聽\說】interview series, individuals from different backgrounds are invited to share their personal stories and emotions. We are delighted that our therapist, Terrence, was invited to be one of the interviewees. Let’s listen to Terrence as he shares how expressive arts therapy can help us better embrace and hold our emotions.
